First They Came For The Polygamists

It isn't often that any news stories from my neck of the woods make the national news, but just a few towns down the interstate form where I sit typing, there stands a polygamist ranch which has been all over the news this week.

Now, you may completely disagree with the FLDS sect led by Warren Jeffs, which I do. But, the whole situation greatly disturbs me.

Why? you may ask.

Because, what was done to the people who lived on the polygamist ranch flies in the face of religious freedom.

Now, I agree that if there is child abuse going on there, then something must be done.

But, there is no proof that any child abuse has occurred. They can't even find the "16 year old girl" who made the allegations which caused all of this.

As for the allegations that under aged girls are being given in marriage to older men, still there is no proof.

But, even if that part is true, was not Mary given in marriage to Joseph at about 12-14 years of age?

What about the polygamy? Isn't that against the law?

Yes, but it shouldn't be.

Now, I will preface this with saying that I am not a polygamist and don't want to be.

But, I do not believe that polygamy is a sin.

And actually, that doesn't even matter.

What matters in all of this is that if we say that in America, you are free to practice the religion of your choice, then we must honor the religious practices of others. I am not saying that you have to agree. For, we know that Jesus Christ is the only way unto salvation and most of us would agree that the FLDS sect is in serious error.

However, if a person's religion includes the practice of polygamy, arranged marriages or even early marriages, then so be it. That's what religious freedom is about.

What if your children were taken away from you because of your religious beliefs?

You know, not many people realize that those who are part of the FLDS faith, believe that to forsake polygamy is to be condemned. To many of them, the forsaking of polygamy is the equivalent to receiving the mark of the beast.

And, maybe they are "brainwashed." But, do you not raise your children up in the way that you believe they should go? And, rightly so!

But, just imagine if you had to choose between the mark of the beast and your children. What would you do if it were you, not them who had to choose?

This calls to memory the words of concentration camp survivor Martin neimoller:

First they came for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one left to speak up for me.

It doesn't matter that we disagree with the faith of these people, as freedom of religion progresses in being stripped away, the sword will eventually fall upon your our households as well. The time is drawing near when religion will be a state regulated practice for all of us, not just the "Mormons."

When the time comes, will you obey "the laws of man", or will you obey the laws of God?

The Magic Passport

Some days, I just sit amazed as I ponder the events of September 11th. Especially, as I think about Mohammed Atta, who piloted flight 7, the first plane to crash into the World Trade Center.

The fact that we knew he was involved in the attacks is nothing short of a miracle.

We have a passport to thank for that.

His passport was found on the sidewalk alongside the World Trade Center rubble.

That is absolutely amazing.

Somehow, a paper passport escaped an incinerated jet plane which burned so hot that it vaporized the flight recorder also known as the black box (a feat which prior to 911 had never been accomplished by any exploding plane). Then, the passport made it's journey all the way to the ground, eluded the burning ash as an settled itself, unblemished upon the sidewalk, where someone had the time, awareness and saw the need to pick it up, even in the midst of all of the chaos.

Absolutely astonishing!!!

Where Have I Been Lately?

Some of you may have noticed that I haven't been around much lately. No, it's not your imagination. I have been a bit preoccupied as of late, with the new baby and all. I will get back on track with my posts. But, you will have to allow me the time gone by, spent basking in the joy which God has brought to me. I don't always recognize His love and devotion to me. And, I am not always grateful for what I have been given. Sometimes I take my blessings for granted. But, tonight I am not doing that. I thought that I'd share a few of my blessings with you. Here you go:

On The Frontlines: Unchurched Believer

The following is an interview with the Unchurched Believer, who also has a blog called the Olive Parent.

What does Spiritual warfare mean to you?

The Word says it true:
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

What do you believe to be your purpose in life?

To do the will of God in the face of opposition.

What Bible passage is your favorite?

Such a hard question, I would have to say the most life transforming passages for me is the Book of Romans.

Who is your favorite Bible character apart from Jesus?

Saint Paul

Other than Biblical figures, who have been your heroes of the faith?

I absolutely must mention my husband, whose dedication to walk according to the will of God, overpowers much in his life. His love for the Lord is deep and defines where he goes and how he lives. He is a nonconformist just as much as I am, if not more!

In your mind what event has had the greatest effect upon the moral degradation of America?

To answer this with an answer or two is to imply that America was once in a state of moral purity, which no human-governed, country is. Many believe in the greatness of America because of its “Christian” heritage. However, I believe America’s decline started the moment she was created. Stolen land that resulted in a near genocide of its native inhabitants and stolen people enslaved to enrich America in the face of hypocrisy (The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution), do not make for moral righteousness no matter how many “Christians” were on hand upon her existence.

However, God uses all things, good and evil according to His purpose, for His glory. It would do us well as Believers to remember with humility our very immoral beginnings. It is by our own self-righteousness as a country, that we face moral decay and not by any particular event in history. Any form of self-government, human government over other humans, is temporal and lacking in Spiritual perfection that only Christ Jesus can govern with. Christ WILL return to govern His people!!

In a nutshell, what are your end times views?

A nutshell is hardly big enough my views. However, I believe we are live and on the scene of the manifestation of end times prophecy. The “times of the Gentiles” is soon ending and there is no doubt in my mind that it is much “nearer” than when we first believed. Romans 13:11

However, I believe despite all the manifestations of foretold scripture, ALL things in today’s climate are purposeful and must come to pass. Matthew 24:6

What role(s) do you believe that Holy Spirit plays in our lives as Christians?

Without the Holy Spirit, there is no such thing as a Believer. The Holy Spirit is the very definition, essence and character of a Believer and the ONLY way we are acceptable to Him.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Romans 8:9

To what degree are you responsible for your own sanctification?

Just so that there is no confusion, the term sanctification by definition means to ‘make holy; set apart as sacred; consecrate”. In the spiritual sense, I am in firm disagreement in any efforts towards my own sanctification. Any efforts on my behalf results in a production of my own righteousness, and denies the saving power of my Lord and Savior to sanctify as only He can.

In the physical sense, I’m not sure how anyone can be “holy” outside of faith in Christ Jesus. It is only by Faith that we receive the Holy Spirit. Being led by the Spirit and not by the commandments of men is extremely important. So I guess my answer to this question is it is only by Faith we receive the Spirit and are set apart, nothing else.

“And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.” Romans 11:6

What does baptism mean to you?

The physical display of baptism is symbolic of the spiritual baptism received when one confesses with their mouth AND believes in their heart that Jesus Christ is Lord. (Romans 10:9)
I reject all claims that one must be physically baptized to receive salvation and/or the Holy Spirit as unbiblical. Spiritual baptism is conditional of genuine belief, as ONLY God can see and accept. Physical baptism should also be conditional of genuine belief in Christ Jesus, not the other way around. The condition of salvation is clearly and simply stated in John 3:16 and exemplified in Luke 23:42-43. That is not to say that I’m against the symbolic act…I was once baptized in the name of Jesus, and only by the power and the blood of Christ was I saved. Baptism, like many other biblical subjects has become a condition of salvation and/or the Holy Spirit in the Christian culture.

How do you feel about the death penalty?

I don’t really have a take on the death penalty. Many issues plague the American society in which many, including Christians, feel the need to be involved for the sake of improving the human condition, or the morals of our society. I have no hope or faith in man power, but every hope and Faith in the power of Jesus Christ. I know where the human condition is headed.

How do you feel about physical war?

Naturally, war is horrible, but in this sinful, human-governed world, it is inevitable.

What is your take on the Iraqi war?

I have personal views of our current president that are not at all positive. I’ll just leave it at that. However, despite my views, I believe all things are coming together for the prophetic proclamations of scripture. As idiotic as I think the Bush administration is, I DO believe he (Bush) is serving a biblical purpose in Iraq.

What do believe about the New World Order conspiracy?

Honestly, this is the first time I’ve heard of such a conspiracy. I do try to avoid the imaginations of men and all the dialogue and debates that originate from it. My eyes are trained heaven-ward, holding unto what the Word calls “sound doctrine”. The book of Revelation tells us that the entire world will be under dominion of the Anti-Christ. This is what I believe will happen. How it will happen, I cannot say. Is it happening now??? The chances are more YES than no.

How do you feel about the Patriot Act?

What can I say about the Patriot Act? I know where America is headed. Despite how many American Christians behave and speak, (as though voting etc. can correct what ails us) America is not immune from the prophecy of scripture.

What are your thoughts on the 2008 presidential election?

This has been the most interesting and exciting election since I’ve been alive on this earth! While I do not participate in the election process, I know one thing; the next president will be according to the purpose of God. I’m hoping its Obama.

In your opinion, which political system is most compatible with Christian spirituality?

You know I cringe when I hear this question. There is only one compatible political system, the eternal reign of Jesus Christ as Lord. When Satan is unseated as his role as the “prince of this world”, Christ will rule supreme in power, glory and love.

Can Christians truly be tolerant?

I’m not sure what is meant here by the word “tolerant”. But this question implies that ALL Christians are equal in beliefs and doctrines which are untrue. In stating that, I guess the answer would be yes. Christianity is divided into bits and pieces by beliefs and doctrines which demonstrate the tolerance of Christians to accept unsound or unbiblical doctrine.
However, in a sense of tolerance in terms of love, the answer would be a resounding no. We hardly tolerate one another in this light, and non Christians even less.

What is your favorite movie?

I don’t have a favorite movie, but I enjoy courtroom dramas, mysteries and action movies.

Hmmm. I think you’ve interviewed them all already. But I would like to see Brother Mark at Know and Grow interviewed. http://growandknow.blogspot.com

On The Frontlines: The Bible Dude

What does Spiritual warfare mean to you?

We are told that we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness (Ephesians 6:12, KJV). To me this is what spiritual warfare is all about. I believe that while we live in a physical realm, there is certainly a spiritual realm with things going on that we cannot see (or understand). When we pray and intercede on the behalf of others, I believe that we are actually influencing things in the spiritual, and are literally attacking that "spiritual wickedness."

What do you believe to be your purpose in life?

To love God with all my heart, soul, and mind. To love others as myself. And to go into all the world and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that He commanded us.

What Bible passage is your favorite?

John 11:35... "Jesus wept." The simplest verse in the Bible tells us more about the humanity and relational-nature of God Himself than other entire books of the Bible. The fact that His heart broke when a friend died, and that He experienced the same emotions that we do speaks of His love for us. Get your head around that one... Amazing...

Who is your favorite Bible character apart from Jesus?

Favorite? Peter... that dude cracks me up! I cannot wait to meet him face to face! However, I find myself identifying more with Paul than anyone else. Can't wait to meet him too...

Other than Biblical figures, who have been your heroes of the faith?

While there are many who have influenced my faith a great deal, I just cannot get over the impact of Billy Graham. I haven't even heard much of his teaching, but his influence on modern Christianity is undeniable. He is such an incredible man of God, and I really appreciate his heart for evangelism.

In your mind what event has had the greatest effect upon the moral degradation of America?

Television, but not from the way that most people think. I think that much of the programming is simply a reflection of what society already is. The biggest problem that I have seen with it is the advertising that has become so common through it. Basically, there are people that get paid big bucks to think of ways to tell us that (1) our lives are miserable, and that (2) we can only be happy if we purchase whatever product is being sold. This has led us into a commercialism that has been overwhelmingly destructive, and only feeds a self-centered perspective that creates even deeper issues.

In a nutshell. what are your end times views?

Be ready.

How role(s) do you believe that Holy Spirit plays in our lives as Christians?

The Holy Spirit is our connection with God now in the church age. I believe that when God works in our lives today, it is by the Holy Spirit. It may be as simple as illuminating the Word in our hearts and minds, or giving us peace in times of trouble. I also believe that the Holy Spirit manifests Himself through miraculous events like healings and other "gifts of the Spirit". I also think that praying and talking to God is quite simply talking to the Holy Spirit (who is fully God).

To what degree are you responsible for your own sanctification?

Responsible in the sense that no one else (humanly) can do it to or for me. I also believe that as I make a free will decision to become more sanctified, that the Holy Spirit is the one that actually does it to me. It is sort of like being a car going into a car wash. We've still got to drive the car in, but it can only be washed by the Spirit.

What does baptism mean to you?

To me it is a laying down of the old, and rising up of the new. I've actually written on my own baptism, which probably describes my thoughts on this topic pretty well...
http://bibledude.net/WordPress/?p=40

How do you feel about the death penalty?

I pray that no one will have to experience it. I try to think of the root of what gets people in that position, rather than the end-result of it as a form of punishment. Bottom line to me... I also pray that the church do a better job of reaching people before they commit heinous crimes that lead to that for of punishment.

How do you feel about physical war?

War happens. God led people into war. But that still doesn't make it pretty, or positive. I think that because of humanity's self-centered nature, people are always going to "look out for number one," and this will always lead to conflict. I was just reading in the book of Judges about a war that broke out in Israel over a concubine that was raped and killed while passing through a certain territory. It has made me think a lot about the idea of fighting wars over principles, and doing "what is right." This is actually a pretty deep topic. However, after serving in the US Marine Corps, I do have a strong sense of standing up for something that is bigger than all of us.

What is your take on the Iraqi war?

Considering that much of the media has greatly influenced everything about our perceptions on this war, let me put it this way. I believe in standing up for freedom. I also believe that the lack of evidence of WMDs only means that there was plenty of time to get rid of them before we ever moved in. I have hope that Iraq can land on it's feet, with the proper support. I hate to see people die, but I know that the troops that are there believe in the mission. And that speaks more volumes to me than anything. Remember... these guys are not being drafted, so they are there fighting for something that they believe in.

What do believe about the New World Order conspiracy?

It doesn't change my responsibility as a Christian. Christians have had to live under bad governments before, and this would be no different. When Paul wrote the letter to the Romans, and told them to submit to government authorities, Rome was under the rule of Nero. He was the first to start state organized persecution of the Christians, and it wasn't pretty. Paul, a Roman citizen, would have certainly been aware of this when writing that statement. My point is that no matter how (good or) bad it gets, Christians still have the same set of responsibilities.

How do you feel about the Patriot Act?

It doesn't change my responsibility as a Christian...

What are your thoughts on the 2008 presidential election?

I heard someone (a Christian) complaining that they didn't like any of the candidates, and again remember thinking that (...say it with me now...) it doesn't change my responsibility as a Christian. I certainly have my preferences among the remaining candidates, but regardless of who wins, I will pray for them regularly (and maybe even more earnestly).

In your opinion, which political system is most compatible with Christian spirituality?

Any system that allows the free practice of religion. However, Christianity does seem to thrive in nations where it is actually forbidden. Hmmm.... chew on that one for a bit...

Can Christians truly be tolerant?

Considering that we are not the Judge... I think that we need to respect people's heart to make their own choices, just as we have been given the opportunity to make our own, and ask that people respect our choices. That doesn't mean that we have to agree. But if I also look at people with the heart of God, and see people rejecting Him, then that should move me into a heart of evangelism. God accepted me just as I was, and imagine that He would do the same for others. Then it is up to His Holy Spirit to work change in them. It is up to us just to love, as He loved us...

What is your favorite movie?

No movie moves me like The Passion of the Christ does.

What other blogger(s) would you like to see interviewed?

Marlo from Joyful Christian Wife
Lance at Lance's Soul Searching
Nathan at Not Typically Christian

On The Frontlines: Not Typically Christian

The Following is an interview with Nathan from Not Typically Christian:

What does Spiritual warfare mean to you?

Spiritual warfare to me is exercising our authority in the form of intercession over the spirit realm. We are constantly in a state of warfare against the enemy in our daily lives. Some say "once saved, always saved", that is wrong. Once we are saved, we have instantly entered into a spiritual war with hell.

What do you believe to be your purpose in life?

My purpose in life is to serve God through obedience to Him.

What Bible passage is your favorite?

EPH 4:11-16. This scripture refers to the basic blueprints of the government of the church.

Who is your favorite Bible character apart from Jesus?

The Apostle Paul. He wasn't afraid to teach the truth, no matter how unpopular it was.

Other than Biblical figures, who have been your heroes of the faith?

If I had to pick a few heroes of the faith, I would have to pick the people who have affected my spiritual growth the most. First my parents, David and Beccie Householder. They raised me in the way I should go. My first Spiritual Father, Prophet Chris Nolan. He was my greatest hero and inspiration. He has passed away and will never be forgotten. I loved him with all my heart and will always be affected by him. My current Spiritual Father, Prophet Willie Mead. He and I have kindred hearts and are inseparable. My relationship with him is second only to God and I adore and respect him like no there man.

In a nutshell. what are your end times views?

I try not to focus too much on the end times. The scripture says not to worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will come. For years there have been men comparing today with the foretold end times. What makes today different? The scripture says that He will come like a thief in the night. How about we quit worrying about the end times and more about our relationships with God. That way we'll be ready.

What role(s) do you believe that Holy Spirit plays in our lives as Christians?

The Holy Spirit is like the middle man between ourselves and God. When the Holy Spirit moves, it is the same as God himself moving. It's time we stop ignoring the Holy Spirit as an important role in our spiritual lives and start being obedient. Whether you believe it or not, the gifts of the spirit and the gift of tongues are still for today. There is no reason to believe otherwise and anyone who says anything different is wrong. The Spiritual Gifts are free gifts for anyone who wants them and is obedient. To say that you don't have the gift of tongues or other gifts is only an excuse not to step out and trust the Holy Spirit to fill you. Everyone has a measure of all of the gifts, it's only a matter of exercising the gifts. If you don't use them, you'll loose them. So you answer your question, The Holy Spirit plays an extremely important role in our Christian lives, start respecting Him.

To what degree are you responsible for your own sanctification?

Once you are saved, it is up to you to decide how you will live your Christian life. Yes you can lose your salvation if you turn from God. That being said, God is faithful to forgive us when we sin. That is if we ask Him to.

What does baptism mean to you?

Baptism is a symbolic representation of our old sinful nature being washed away when we are born again.

How do you feel about the death penalty?

I believe that it is a sad reality. Maybe what the bible says about sin is true, "the wages of sin is death".

How do you feel about physical war?

Ecclesiastes 3:8 "A time to love and a time to hate; a time for peace and a time for war."

What is your take on the Iraqi war?

See above answer.

What do believe about the New World Order conspiracy?

Quit worrying so much about future events. God wants us to live in the present, let Him take care of the future.

How do you feel about the Patriot Act?

If the government spies on me, they're going to be pretty bored with what they find. I understand that people are afraid that the government will slowly begin to invade our privacy more and more, but as long as God is on the throne we don't have anything to fear. Get over it.

What are your thoughts on the 2008 presidential election?

I'm pretty confident that God is fully capable of achieving His will, no matter who's in control.

In your opinion, which political system is most compatible with Christian spirituality?

A Theocracy is most compatible with Christian spirituality. A Theocracy is God governing the government as opposed to a Democracy in which man governs everything.

Can Christians truly be tolerant?

Jesus was never a tolerant man when it came to sin. Remember when Jesus chases out the money changers and merchants from the temple with a whip? Doesn't sound very tolerant to me.Jesus said "None shall enter the kingdom of heaven except through Me", that wasn't a very tolerant statement. No, Christians don't have to be tolerant of sin. We are supposed to be the salt of the earth, not the pacifiers.

What is your favorite movie?

I don't really have a favorite, I like them all. Q: Which 5 posts from your blog(s) do believe to be most significant?

Release The Fire

The Warfare Journal is a project of Release The Fire Ministries. I have always felt a kinship with the prophet, Jeremiah, who was often reviled for the Word which God had placed within Him. The name, Release The Fire was inspired by Jeremiah 20 verse 9:

But if I say, "I will not mention him or speak any more in his name," His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

Much of my life has been spent involuntarily stifling that fire. Release the Fire is my attempt to begin to release that fire. It is my dream, if it also be His will, to be able to dedicate myself occupational to His ministry. I believe that many of us are part of a generation which will soon see the return of our King. As that time approaches, our commission to spread the gospel grows even more pressing. It is time for us as servants to the Most High King to Release The Fire of the Holy Spirit and to turn this world upside down.

If you are interested in the Release The Fire vision, please visit the Release The Fire Website.
Please pray that His good and perfect will directs my path. And, if you feel led to, please help support this ministry financially:

Thank you all and God Bless,

On The Frontlines: The Analyst

I have been asked to take my own interview and so, here is my interview with myself:

What does Spiritual warfare mean to you?

There is a war which rages all around us on all fronts. It is a war against the dark forces in the Spiritual realm. Those who wage war against us are from the Spiritual domain, but their influence is far reaching, even into the physical realm. But, we have been equipped to stand against them and to battle with great might and in victory.

What do you believe to be your purpose in life?

To worship and to serve Christ my Lord. My calling is to:

Teach Jesus, the Word, forsaking tradition in favor of truth, regardless of the cost.

Wage open war against Satan, his forces and the flesh of man.

Blow the trumpet in pronouncement of the soon coming King

What Bible passage is your favorite?

Hebrews 11

Who is your favorite Bible character apart from Jesus?

Simeon

Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's Christ. Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:

"Sovereign Lord, as you have promised,
you now dismiss your servant in peace.
For my eyes have seen your salvation,
which you have prepared in the sight of all people,
a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel." -Luke 2:25-32

Oh, that we would all have such desire to "see His salvation."

Other than Biblical figures, who have been your heroes of the faith?

My youth minster, friend and brother-Lee Graham
Dietrich Bonhoeffer
G.K Chesterton

In your mind what event has had the greatest effect upon the moral degradation of America?

The women's right movement has caused the break down of the American family. Rather than being at home raising their children up in the "way they should go", mothers have joined the work force. And, men have become emasculated, not supporting their children, leaving today's single mothers no choice in the matter. Without our children being raised up in the "way they should go", our nation has no moral direction.

In a nutshell. what are your end times views?

I believe that Jesus will be returning very soon to set up His Earthly kingdom. But, not before Satan's One World Government (New World Order) comes to power and persecutes those who follow Jesus. I believe that the "rapture" will not come until after that persecution, but before the wrath of God is poured out upon the Earth.

For more of my take on End times, see also:

The Rapture
Those who have not soiled their pants
This generation will not pass away

What role(s) do you believe that Holy Spirit plays in our lives as Christians?

I believe that the Holy Spirit sanctifies us, comforts us and empowers us to fearlessly preach the gospel and to turn the world upside down.

To what degree are you responsible for your own sanctification?

Only in so much as we draw near to Christ. Too many churches today teach that you must clean up your life so that Jesus can come into your heart. But, in actuality, you can do no such thing. Instead, the Holy Spirit sanctifies you from the inside out as He sees fit.

What does baptism mean to you?

I believe that the water baptism is a symbol of our covenant with and commitment to Christ. I also believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers us to do His miraculous works upon the Earth and to effective wage war against those in the Spiritual realm who seek to destroy us.

How do you feel about the death penalty?

I don't like it!

I know that the Biblical penalty for murder was the death penalty. But, it was also the penalty for adultery, which is not even a crime in America.

The Wages of all sin is death as is the gift of Christ, life (Romans 6:23).

I have absolutely no problem with locking up a killer or a rapist for life. But, I see no need for killing them. For one thing, it is more expensive to kill a convict than to lock them away in prison.

How do you feel about physical war?

I think that war today is unjust and that it is one of the New World Order's greatest tools for establishing their One World Government.

What is your take on the Iraqi war?

I believe that it is part of the plan for the establishing of the New World Order. As to whether or not it is a just war, no I don't think so. We did not find any WMD's and Iraq had nothing to do with 911 . And as far as protecting the people of Iraq from a cruel tyrannical dictator, why haven't we helped the Christians in Sudan who are being systematically annihilated even as I type?

What do believe about the New World Order conspiracy?

I believe that the New World Order is the fulfillment of the biblically prophesied One World Government and that it will give rise to the Antichrist.

What are your thoughts on the 2008 presidential election?

I believe that regardless of who gets elected, it will be in accordance with the New World Order agenda. Out of all of the candidates who took part in this election, Ron Paul was the only good choice.

In your opinion, which political system is most compatible with Christian spirituality?

I don't think that any governmental system is truly compatible with Christian Spirituality. The leaders of our governments do not have in mind the will of God, nor do they seek to Love. But, soon Jesus will come to replace the World's political system with His wholly good Kingdom.

Can Christians truly be tolerant?

No! Tolerance is an oxymoron among Christians. If we truly believe that Jesus is the only way, we cannot accept any truth which sets itself up against Him. Yes, we are to be loving. Love is a virtue which far surpasses tolerance. But, the more our world enforces tolerance, the less welcome we will become in this society. Tolerance is the centerpiece for the Satan's One World Religion.

On The Frontlines: Exodus Times

The following is an interview with Steve from Exodus Times :

What does Spiritual warfare mean to you?

The forces of Good and evil at work around us everyday, I also think a component of this is the sin we battle daily as we live in the flesh.

What do you believe to be your purpose in life?

To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the present truth from God and His Word.

What Bible passage is your favorite?

My favorite would have to be the book of Acts, and it shows the true purpose and function of the Body of Christ.

Who is your favorite Bible character apart from Jesus?

That would have to be Peter, even though he denied Christ, he rose to the challenge with the help of the Holy Spirit and took a stand for Christ, that was unmovable.

Other than Biblical figures, who have been your heroes of the faith?

I consider anyone who takes a stand for truth and God, is a hero of the faith!

In your mind what event has had the greatest effect upon the moral degradation of America?

It is hard to pick one, but if I had to I would say the collapse of the family. I think other things are a result of just this.

In a nutshell. what are your end times views?

Christ is returning for a pure and spotless bride, and I'm not finding what most say about end-time events to be truth. I think a lot of people will be very surprised.

How role(s) do you believe that Holy Spirit plays in our lives as Christians?

I believe the Holy Spirit teaches and leads us in all truth, I think He gives us the courage and faith we need to stand for what is right. and the Holy Spirit is essential for daily living. I would be lost without Him.

To what degree are you responsible for your own sanctification?

To the degree of making the decision to continue.... the bible says clearly we must continue to walk. I believe that is our choice to do or not to do.

What does baptism mean to you?

Baptism is the outward working of the inward change called salvation, we are buried and risen with Christ through salvation.

How do you feel about the death penalty?

I believe it is just, if properly used, God has put leaders in their place to administer justice.

How do you feel about physical war?

I believe while it is sad, It was used throughout the old testament.

What is your take on the Iraqi war?

It is a small taste of things to come in the very near future.

What other blogger(s) would you like to see interviewed?

YOU :)

On The Frontlines: In His Steps

The following in is an interview with Joey from In His Steps :

What does Spiritual warfare mean to you?

Spiritual warfare, in simplest terms, is the enemy attempting to keep us out of relationship with God in way one or another. There are numerous "strategies" but the goal of all of them is the same.

What do you believe to be your purpose in life?

There is much confusion about this, but ultimately life's purpose is not about something or somewhere, but someone. I believe life's greatest purpose is intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Occupations/talents/gifts are secondary to this.

What Bible passage is your favorite?

As far as we can have "favorites" I'd say Hebrews 12:1-3

Who is your favorite Bible character apart from Jesus?

Apollos

Other than Biblical figures, who have been your heroes of the faith?

Jim Whittaker, Mark Carter, D.S., John Ervin, my father to name a few

In your mind what event has had the greatest effect upon the moral degradation of America?

The Church abandoning the Gospel of Christ for political power.

In a nutshell. what are your end times views?

I'm a pre-tribulationist with a futuristic interpretation of Revelation

What role(s) do you believe that Holy Spirit plays in our lives as Christians?

I don't know is if I can provide an exhaustive list; but He fills us, empowering us for righteous living and ministry, He makes intercession for us, convicts of sin, and guides us in our relationship with Christ, as well as speaking to us individually in regards to various things (like I said, not exhaustive, but a start).

To what degree are you responsible for your own sanctification?

Essentially, since it is the Spirit that empowers us to live righteously, our only role is in following Him as He leads us in living God's Word (both written and spoken). This is not to say we have a passive role though, for we must follow and I don't think God is going to stop moving.

What does baptism mean to you?

Baptism represents dieing to sin (going under) and being made alive in Christ (resurrected/coming up)

How do you feel about the death penalty?

I feel it is not preferable, but may be necessary. In regards to the political aspect I think it is a state issue and should not be handled by the federal government.

How do you feel about physical war?

It is certainly not desirable, but is sometimes unavoidable.

What is your take on the Iraqi war?

At the time the decision was made to go to war we had legitimate reasons to do it. However, the war has been badly mis-managed. We need to set practical goals for the stabilization of Iraq, reach those goals, and get out ASAP.

What do believe about the New World Order conspiracy?

It's not a conspiracy, it's a reality. Governments have tried many times in the last century to create similar bodies and I believe with the European Union we are closer then we've ever been.

How do you feel about the Patriot Act?

100% un-Constitutional, it needs to be repealed and done away with immediately.

What are your thoughts on the 2008 presidential election?

We are not going to get a great president. At present I lean towards John McCain, though not very strongly. I'd vote for Ron Paul on a 3rd party ticket.

In your opinion, which political system is most compatible with Christian spirituality?

In terms of freedom to practice Christianity I'd say a Constitutional Democratic Republic. However, not political system should hinder a sincere believer from practicing, look at Paul and Peter in the Roman Empire.

Can Christians truly be tolerant?

Absolutely, in fact I think we as Christians should lead in the community of tolerance. That is not to say we must agree with or support everything, I certainly don't support same-sex marriage or abortion, but that is not to say I'm intolerant of people who do. I disagree with them, and I'll debate anyone anytime, unashamedly, but Christ was never intolerant, rather He left us an example of moral love and concern.

On The Frontlines: Religion- Good or Bad

The following is an interview with George from Religion- Good or Bad :

What does Spiritual warfare mean to you?

A.) The battle between good and evil, which only the born-again believer would engage in against the evil powers of this world as depicted in Ephesians chapter 6.

What do you believe to be your purpose in life?

A.) In these later stages of my life, I believe it is to dispel the myth that the Trinity is a mystery, which practically every Christian believes today. After three year of writing on the subject I not only believe, but also know God has revealed it to me. I already have documented it in a book form and will perhaps share some of it later on my blog page.

What Bible passage is your favorite?

A.) Probably Proverbs 3:5-6 as well as John 3:16.

Who is your favorite Bible character apart from Jesus?

A.) Blind Bartimaeus who heard that Jesus was passing through and no doubt had heard about the healing and miracles Jesus performed. He knew he might never get another chance like this. So when they tried to shut him up from yelling to Jesus as Jesus passed by, he yelled even louder and Jesus stopped and called him to Him and healed his eyes. Persistence pays. Also, you never know when Jesus will pass your way again so you better take advantage of the moment.

Other than Biblical figures, who have been your heroes of the faith?

A.) Billy Graham and Watchman Nee.

In your mind what event has had the greatest effect upon the moral degradation of America?

A.) When the Supreme Court voted to eliminate prayer from school. We are now reaping the 2nd and 3rd generation from that dreaded decision. Since then we have invoked laws to rid God from everything else in America.

In a nutshell. what are your end times views?

A.) Almost simultaneously the following happens - the Rapture, the invasion of Russia and his Arab allies into Israel, God begins to pour out His wrath, the time of the Gentile is fulfilled and God seals the 144,000 Jews, and then the appearing of the anti-christ as a peace maker for 3 1/2 years. After those things, the building of the Temple, and the anti-christ announcing he is god for the last of the seven year period of great tribulation after which Jesus comes back and sets up His Kingdom here on earth for a thousand years.

What role(s) do you believe that Holy Spirit plays in our lives as Christians?

A.) The Holy Spirit is the one who sustains us as Christians, keeps us on the right path, and since Jesus cannot live in us, He sent the Holy Spirit to teach us and seal our right to be sons and daughters of God and a joint heir with Christ.

To what degree are you responsible for your own sanctification?

A.) Just as responsible as I am for all my actions, I am totally responsible for my salvation. Others may pray for me and the Father may draw me to Jesus, but the final decision belongs to me. I believe that is why many times He waits until we are at our lowest when He calls us - when we need Him most, especially in a death situation.

What does baptism mean to you?

A.) I do not believe in water baptism since John the baptist, Peter and Jesus all said John baptizes with water, but Jesus will baptize with the Holy Ghost and with fire. The baptism of the Holy Ghost happens when an individual is born-again.

How do you feel about the death penalty?

A.) I go along with the law of the land. If a person is found guilty beyond any shadow of a doubt, I have no problem with the death penalty.

How do you feel about physical war?

A.) As I mentioned in one of my blogs, God sanctioned more wars than the United States has been involved in.

What is your take on the Iraqi war?

A.) I believe it is part of the end-time scenario and I believe we did the right thing in trying to liberate a nation from a tyrant dictator as were the Jews under Hitler.

What do believe about the New World Order conspiracy?

A.) I believe it is probably all true.

How do you feel about the Patriot Act?

A.) We need it. Since we no longer have God as our protector, we need something as a substitute to keep evil from invading us.

What are your thoughts on the 2008 presidential election?

A.) We have three choices - each no better than the other. The Bible says God puts those in power over us. These are the choices God has given to us for obvious reasons.

In your opinion, which political system is most compatible with Christian spirituality?

A.) I used to say conservative Republican, and I guess it is still the best moral choice.

Can Christians truly be tolerant?

A.) Not with respect to anything to do with sin. We must obey God rather than men.

What is your favorite movie?

A.) It's a Wonderful Life.

What other blogger(s) would you like to see interviewed?

A.) Tom Usher

On The Frontlines: Supernatural Christian

The following is an interview with Cindy from Supernatural Christian :

What does Spiritual warfare mean to you?

It is territorial. The property in question, is the human soul. We are to have the mind of Christ. There is not doubt that Satan would fight against this objective. It is a fight of light and dark, good and evil, right and wrong. But, there are other places that spiritual warfare can take place, such as locations ie churchs, cities. To fight the good fight, to stand on the promises of God, to never wavier on the ground that has been taken for God, is a spiritual battle.

What do you believe to be your purpose in life?

I am to honor and walk with God. To walk in the giftings that He has given me. To heal the sick in body, soul and spirit. To bring healing to the church through the laying on of hands, the prophetic, and with spiritual eyes. I will walk in my uniqueness, making disciples and following my God with obedience to His calling..What Bible passage is your favorite? Jeremiah 33:3`Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.'

Who is your favorite Bible character apart from Jesus?

Enoch. I want, so badly, to be like Enoch. To be a friend to God and to have Him take me into His confidence. Proverbs 3:32

Other than Biblical figures, who have been your heroes of the faith?

Randy Clark, his mission in life and gifts inspire me. Francis Macnutt, such passion. Kathryn Kuhlman, her sight into the spiritual realm was wonderful.

In your mind what event has had the greatest effect upon the moral degradation of America?

The social revolution of the 1960's, for which I was a part of. It began a moral decline of family and society. The introduction of drugs on a massive level, banning of prayer in school etc. Unfortunately, I played a part in all this by protesting for change and becoming politically active. I wanted change for women-equal pay for equal work. We still, after 40 years find that women still make .80 on the dollar to mans wages. What women did get equality are heart attacks, stress and with moral decay the head of household.

In a nutshell. what are your end times views?

Well, my view on the rapture can be controversial. I do not see proof of the of the rapture in the Word of God. Many have tried to show me the proof, but my mind and spirit just have never been able to see that proof. I, do believe, that we are in the end times and that life is going to get quite a bit rougher for Christians. The prolific growth of the Muslim religion and the hatred spread by the radical beliefs there in, are leading, along with other intolerance to Christianity, to a long hard road for the Christian faith. We, as Christians, will be tested, greatly, in our faith. Matthew 24:9-12 "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

What role(s) do you believe that Holy Spirit plays in our lives as Christians?

The Holy Spirit is the great communicator. He is the door way to the supernatural . He teaches, guides and leads. He knows me better than I and intercedes on my behalf. I enjoy communicating with the Spirit of God and feel that that communication has brought me into the confidence of God. He assists me in doing "only what I see my Father doning".

To what degree are you responsible for your own sanctification?

Well, God is the one who has set me apart, made me peculiar. Without Him I can not be made Holy. It is the work that He has done in me that brings me to that spiritual level. But, I have to play my part of increase in my faith. After God caught me, it became my responsibility to continue in His purpose for me, to grow closer to Him and to seek Him daily. All these things contribute in my sanctification.

What does baptism mean to you?

Well, I was baptized in a creek, with a dog and a goat swimming around me. I had to be dunked forward instead of backwards because of the shallowness of the water. When I came up out of the water, everyone there were grinning from ear to ear, but I heard a serious voice. "Gently I have made you new, now you are on solid ground." So, that is what baptism means to me. Showing the world that I belong to the Living God and renewed to walk on solid ground.

How do you feel about the death penalty?

When I was young, I was a criminal. I got caught, sometimes, for things I had done and other times, caught, for things I had not done. I believe that capital punishment is biblical and necessary, but, I want to know, with out a doubt, that the guilt is assigned to the right person.Otherwise, Hang em!

How do you feel about physical war?

War is, at times, a necessary tools to resolution of a conflict. I lived through a brother in Vietnam and my son served in the first Iraqi war.

What is your take on the Iraqi war?

Unfortunate, but necessary. I, also, see it as part of the spiritual momentum of the end times.

What do believe about the New World Order conspiracy?

I believe that it is to comes into existence as God's prophetic plan.I believe the New World Order will come from the U.N.

How do you feel about the Patriot Act?

Just more incursion into our liberties. We are, ever so slowly, loosing our rights and freedom. I understand the need for security and if I'm not doing anything wrong perhaps I have nothing to worry about, but, oh my, what will be next. The noose feels like it is tightening.

What are your thoughts on the 2008 presidential election?

That is a frightening thought. If the far left were to be elected, we can say goodbye to more of our rights and face a quicker onslaught of the persecution of our faith. But, I know that God will put into office whom He wants. I see it as, whom ever gets the office of President of the United States, will be placed there to continue to path to end time events.

In your opinion, which political system is most compatible with Christian spirituality?

Democracy. But, we here, in the United States are slipping further and further away from Democracy. Feels a little like Socialism.

Can Christians truly be tolerant?

NO!!!! If I live according to the Word of God, I will not tolerate the demise of moral values by accepting the idea of "politically correct." My moral values are place in the Word of God. If the Word says it is wrong. Then It Is Wrong. To accept the views of man as my own, will lead to my corruption. And I am not willing to be tolerant to be accepted.

What is your favorite movie?

"To Kill A Mockingbird" It is an old black and white with Gregory Peck. The battle between good and evil. Sometimes it looks like evil wins, but the truth is NOT.

Standing On Nebo

This is a clip from Martin Luther King's last speech, the "I've Been to the Mountaintop" speech which was given on April 3, 1968 to a group of black sanitary workers for the city of Memphis:

On the day of April 3, King's flight from Atlanta to Memphis was delayed on account of a bomb threat made against his plane. Despite threats on his life, he gave the speech anyway. The next day, April 4, King was assassinated at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis Tennessee.

The statements in his speech about the "mountaintop" were allusions to Moses, who saw a glimpse of the Promised Land from the top of Mount Nebo. Moses himself was not allowed to enter the promised land, but shortly thereafter, the people of Israel were allowed to enter the promised land.

In the same way, King was saying that he could see what was coming for his people. But, he himself would not make the journey with them. He knew that he was about to die. But, his dream was greater than his desire for "longevity."

Directly after his assassination, the city of Memphis brought the sanitation strike to a close by giving in to the requests of the sanitation workers. And, nationwide civil rights milestones would soon follow.

Martin Luther King was a non-violent resistor meaning, that his resistance to tyranny and to agression came not through violence but through fearlessly standing against them with his voice.

On April 3, 1968, King stood alone on "Mount Nebo" and on April 4, a nation stood posed, ready to enter a new land, taken not by guns or cannons but by the message of peace and hope.

On The Frontlines: The Joyful Christian Wife

The following is an interview with Marlo at The Joyful Christian Wife :

What does Spiritual warfare mean to you?

Spiritual warfare is very real to me. As someone who was raised in the occult and was actively taught it’s principles I became all too familiar with the evil side of the spirit realm. The fight was really on when I turned away from it as a young adult and turned to God instead. God used this experience to give me a greater sensitivity to the unseen – good and not good. It has served the purpose of driving home the point of knowing His word – our sword (weapon) against the principalities.

What do you believe to be your purpose in life?

My first purpose is to obey, submit and to love God in ALL things. My second purpose is to actively live my life with a spirit of excellence, integrity, love, selflessness and joy so that those who do not know God will want what I have and in turn seek Him when they learn the key to my positive life. My assignment right now is to create a loving, peaceful and spirit-filled environment at home for my husband and three children.

What Bible passage is your favorite?

I have many favorites but one that I clung to and still go back to when I feel defeated is Psalm 103

Who is your favorite Bible character apart from Jesus?

Moses – God assigned him an incredibly difficult leadership task and he came under a lot of criticism and dissension from his followers.

Other than Biblical figures, who have been your heroes of the faith?

My biggest hero of faith was my late grandmother Mary Wallace Derrick. She displayed a gentleness and kindness that I desperately wanted to have. She served at her church faithfully each week, visited shut-ins, gave to the poor and the widowed, prayed for the needs of others and made selfless acts of service for others a daily part of her life. She noticed and appreciated God’s beauty all around her and she was grateful even in difficult times.

In your mind what event has had the greatest effect upon the moral degradation of America ?

Well, I am Canadian J So how about we say North America for this one? I think the embracing of the idea of situational ethics has been responsible for the moral degradation of society. The “if it feels good, do it” and “there is no right or wrong in a given situation” rhetoric. The enemy has deceived us greatly with this.

In a nutshell. what are your end times views?

Honestly, I don’t focus on the end times except that I know we are in them. I focus on my obedience to the Lord and fulfilling His purpose in my life every day with a spirit of excellence. My focus is on today and how I can impact lives for Christ right now.

What role(s) do you believe that Holy Spirit plays in our lives as Christians?

The Holy Spirit plays an enormous role! He is our internal moral compass, our guide, our lamplight, our strength, our passion. It is Holy Spirit that gives us the seeds of the fruits of the Spirit in us and then gives us the guidance to grow and develop those fruits. It is our job to listen and obey.

To what degree are you responsible for your own sanctification?

Of course we are immediately sanctified the moment we are saved (justified) but sanctification is a continual process. We don’t become immediately Christ-like in all our behaviors and thoughts. The seeds are there but it is up to us to make the right choices and decisions as free moral agents in order to further the process of sanctification. There is a fight within us between our carnal-led nature and our new spirit led nature. Galatians 5:17: "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish."

What does baptism mean to you?

It is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus and an important step in your Christian walk.

How do you feel about the death penalty?

We don’t have the death penalty here in Canada however the scripture that comes to mind is Micah 6:8 The LORD God has told us what is right and what he demands: "See that justice is done, let mercy be your first concern, and humbly obey your God." So each case should be examined through this filter according to God’s word. I am also hold a B.A in Criminology however and cannot resist including some research findings J Many state-wide studies of death penalty cases showed that they are much more financially costly to tax payers than life-long incarceration (even at the highest security level). Source: http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/article.php?did=108

How do you feel about physical war?

Well it is certainly part of the bible and I believe it has its place if it is God’s will to engage. The key is discerning God’s will and not falling into deception and pursuing war for ungodly reasons. Collateral damage saddens me greatly, however.

What is your take on the Iraqi war?

Hmmm, I need show a respectful attitude (submit) toward God’s delegated civil authority that authorized this war. Unfortunately those in authority do not always do godly things but I still must be respectful. I am not sure if I could give an opinion publicly and still remain respectful so I will refrain from commenting.

What do believe about the New World Order conspiracy?

It shows how Satan is using his power to influence those who allow him to and is part of the end times. The use of Masonic imagery, “the all seeing eye” etc is disturbing. I had Freemasons in my extended family and it was scary stuff. But to keep it in perspective God knows all and He has a plan for everything.

How do you feel about the Patriot Act?

I think it was passed very quickly and capitalized on a spirit of fear that was palpable after 9/11. There are aspects of it that are reasonable but there are aspects of it that are troubling. Two of which that come to mind are the National Security Letters piece of the legislation and the immigration provisions that allow for the indefinite detention of any alien whom the Attorney General believes may cause a terrorist act. Very dangerous territory.

What are your thoughts on the 2008 presidential election?

Well, again I am Canadian so primarily I pray that the next President has a good rapport and working relationship with Prime Minister Harper. I pray the next president has a solid moral compass, a clear sense of definitive ethics, loves and seeks righteousness, and acts with integrity.

In your opinion, which political system is most compatible with Christian spirituality?

A Kingdom mirrors God’s system if that is what you meant by compatibility. Of course all civil authority is put in place by God and we are to submit (right heart attitude) to this authority. But that does not mean that the people occupying those positions of delegated authority are always godly. In cases where the civil authority is commanding us to go against God’s word and sin we are not to obey (action) BUT we are still to submit in terms of a respectful attitude.

Can Christians truly be tolerant?

To tolerate has a few meanings. Tolerate can mean to respect and show honor to others and this is the act of loving another human being regardless of their behavior. Loving one another – Jesus loves ALL of us and called us to do the same. However to tolerate also refers to the act of allowing an activity without prohibiting or opposing it and in this regard we cannot be tolerant. There IS right and wrong and as I spoke of earlier, situational ethics where “anything goes” is a dangerous concept. So yes to respecting and honoring other human beings and no to tolerating sinful behavior.

What is your favorite movie?

Wow, it is really hard to find a movie where I am wholly pleased with the message and the content and be able to call it a favorite. I enjoyed The Chronicles of Narnia and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

On The Frontlines: Bible Thumper's Soapbox

The following is an interview with Carol from Bible Thumper's Soapbox and Abomination Nation :

What does Spiritual warfare mean to you?

Spiritual warfare is a battle between flesh and Spirit. This can be within ourselves - (our dual natures at war with each other), or in the world - (outside influences such as authorities and this evil world system)"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms." Eph. 6:10-12

What do you believe to be your purpose in life?

I believe we are here to glorify God and bring Him honor.
Rev 4:11 "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."As far as me personally? Looking back I can see the steps I have taken (and some were wrong) and ultimately they lead me to Him. Since God is our end and Christ is our fullness, I will say His task has been accomplished. That is not to say I've 'arrived' by any stretch, or that He is finished with me, but He has done according to His will and purpose so far. Now as far as what I'm supposed to DO for Him or what my calling is? That still remains unanswered. I believe He will let me know in His perfect timing.

What Bible passage is your favorite?

Matt. 7:15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves."This is not a message of comfort but of warning. This message stood back then, and it stands today. It's a message to beware of lies, deception, and false doctrine against people who are out to devour the Saints. I think this verse is of the utmost importance because if you don't heed this warning (along with many others like testing the spirits) then it may lead you to a false sense of salvation and ultimately, death! Your eternity is at stake here and these false prophets & teachers are partly responsible for that. It's one thing to be a Satanist and flat-out reject Jesus, but it's quite another thing to THINK you're following Jesus only to say "Lord, Lord..." on the Day of Judgment, thus being tricked. Another reason is if you have a skewed view of doctrine and truth, then how can you REALLY know God? Your actions are a result of what you BELIEVE and if you believe falsely, then it will show in your actions. You might be heaping sins upon other sins, never to repent because you've been taken in by lies hence there's no need to repent. And again it leads to death! If Satan cannot 'get' to a believer directly (because he/she is in the Word daily) then Satan uses other agents, people who would be controlled by him which includes spiritual leaders. So we are to be on guard constantly, testing everything with Scripture, and heeding the warning in Matthew.

Who is your favorite Bible character apart from Jesus?

I've always liked David because he was a man after God's own heart. No one else was spoken of in that way.
He wasn't a man of status nor was he the model person. He was a shepherd, a musician, and an adulterer and a murderer but he had a heart for the Lord....when confronted by his sins by Nathan, his response was, "I have sinned against the LORD." (2 Sam 12:13) He didn't argue, blame Bathsheba, or try to justify himself - he knew he was wrong immediately. Do we acknowledge our sins so readily? Another reason I like him is because he does what God tells him to do: 'I have found David son of Jesse a man after my own heart; he will do everything that I want him to do.' (Acts 13:22)I love David's heart and the fact that he loved the Lord and obeyed Him without question.

Other than Biblical figures, who have been your heroes of the faith?

I don't think of this in terms of what one has done, but rather what Christ has done in a person. So with that in mind, I'd have to say my parents. I've lived with them all my life (obviously) and have seen the Lord work in their hearts and their marriage. They have had wicked fights, various addictions, even talk of divorce but Lord has changed them, saved their marriage and kept them together. Now my dad is a pastor, spreading God's Word to everyone. And due to their prayers for many years, my brother and I are now saved and my sister is starting to come around. So the Lord has blessed all of us, starting with my parents.

In your mind what event has had the greatest effect upon the moral degradation of America?

I think it was the "hippie" movement in the 60's. It was a time of open rebellion against authority, family values, against sexual morality, and against God. A time to "Turn on, tune in, and drop out." A time of mind-altering drugs and Eastern mysticism. A time when liberal activists created a platform in which to spill their filth. And ever since, America has been in steady moral decline.

In a nutshell, what are your end times views?

In a nutshell: I believe that "good" will continue to be deemed as "evil" and visa versa. America will become a Socialist nation. There will be no justice for the righteous. Christianity will be outlawed. We'll be imprisoned, "re-educated," or killed. The New World Order will be in full affect. (probably due to another war or travesty) I believe the "man of sin" will be revealed. I believe Jesus will come after 3 1/2 yrs of tribulation. (post trib coming) The Lord will trample the wicked under foot and establish His Kingdom here on earth with Jesus as Ruler and King.

What role(s) do you believe that Holy Spirit plays in our lives as Christians?

He is present in the new birth of a believer: Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:5)The Spirit sanctifies:Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ... (1 Peter 1:2)He convicts:And when he [Comforter] is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: (John 16:8)He comforts:Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied. (Acts 9:31)He teaches:Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. (1 Corin. 2:13)He purifies:Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: (1 Peter 1:22)Aids us in our prayers:Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings, which cannot be uttered. (Romans 8:26)

To what degree are you responsible for your own sanctification?

To be sanctified is to be set apart for His will and purposes. If we are Justified, then we are sanctified or set apart by God. "For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified." (Heb 10:14) But this is a process. We are continually being made into the image of Christ and our flesh gets in the way because it is weak. Even though we have been "set apart" as God's children, we continue to behave in ways that are contrary. Sanctification is the responsibility of every believer in Christ. When we choose to pursue sanctification in our life, positive growth occurs. The pursuit of it involves the surrender of the body and the will to the leading of the Holy Spirit. It takes time and is a working progress that cannot be hurried. In a nutshell: sanctification is an inward spiritual process whereby God brings about holiness and change in the life of a Christian by means of the Holy Spirit.

What does baptism mean to you?

It means to be identified with Christ - in His death, burial, and resurrection.

"Therefore we were buried with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." (Romans 6:4).

It is a dedication to follow Jess Christ and become His disciple. (Matt 28:19) You make a covenant with God to submit yourself to obey the Spirit of God to the point of death, dying to the deeds and lusts of the body and all that is old, to let the past be buried and to rise up to live to fulfill all righteousness - not through your old life but in the new life given by God.

How do you feel about the death penalty?

Jesus believed in the death penalty. It was established by God, codified by the law, supported by Jesus Himself and sustained by the Apostle Paul. So I am also for it.
When we break the law, justice demands payment. And when we sin and break God's laws, likewise there is a debt to be paid but in the believer's life, Christ has paid it.

How do you feel about physical war?

War is not the same thing as murder - personal retribution. War is never a good thing but sometimes it is necessary to try to keep evil at bay.

What is your take on the Iraqi war?

I don't know what to think. I heard there were no WMD, then I heard that chemical weapons were found. I do not delight in the death of anyone but I think it is necessary to protect our country if there is a real threat. Also, I am all for helping them rebuild.

What do believe about the New World Order conspiracy?

The NWO is a reality that is taking shape now just like the Bible predicts. It's a world wide conspiracy consisting of very wealthy people, political leaders, and corporate elites who's goal is to create a one world (fascist) government, stripped of nationalistic and regional boundaries, that is obedient to their agenda. Their intent is to have complete and total control over every human being on the planet and dramatically reduce the population. This is a most vile, a wicked thing they are planning.

How do you feel about the Patriot Act?

The Patriot Act gives law enforcement agencies and the government the authority to access personal, medical, financial, library and educational records once private without judicial oversight. The Patriot Act also gives the government power to monitor religious or political institutions without probable cause. It gives permission to deny legal representation to Americans accused of crimes. In simpler terms, this means the government can search your home with no probable cause without telling you. They can then take away your property without a reason or a hearing. They can monitor your e-mails and Web site visits, track what books you take out at the library and use that as evidence to detain you in prison. Americans can be jailed without charges, indefinitely, without a trial through this act. And this total control and violation of our rights fits in nicely with the NWO as it is part of the same agenda.

What are your thoughts on the 2008 presidential election?

The prospects are grim any way you look at it. I am not voting.

In your opinion, which political system is most compatible with Christian spirituality?

Capitalism - It is not a system of force imposed by people. It is a lack of such a system. It is what happens when people are free from the force of other people. Those better off do have more opportunities (not more freedom), but that in no way gives one person (or group) the right to rob them of these opportunities and give them to another. Life can be very hard for an impoverished man in a desert compared to a rich man in a European landowners family. That does not give anyone the right to rob the European and give to desert dweller.

Can Christians truly be tolerant?

Christians have always been tolerant - speaking of the TRUE definition of the word:

1. to allow the existence, presence, practice, or act of without prohibition or hindrance; permit
2. to endure without repugnance; put up with
We live IN the world yet we are not OF it. We have always put up with a lot of varying views and beliefs. But the world's definition of 'tolerance' has changed - it means "acceptance" now which is incorrect. So going by the new definition...are we to accept something if it goes against God? A resounding NO!

Jesse Ventura Speaks Out About 911

Here is an interesting video of Jesse Ventura on the Alex Jones show talking about 911:

On The Frontlines: Fish Hawk

The following is an interview with Fish Hawk . This same interview will be given to others as well. I hope that this proves to be a fun and enlightening way for us to all get to know each other better.

What does Spiritual warfare mean to you?

In most cases: this is a fairly subtle battle between Satan's exploitation of our own nature against that of our Heavenly Father's. For there is a way that seems right unto us; but it is actually a road that leads unto destruction {Proverbs 14:12}.

What do you believe to be your purpose in life?

Simply put: I was created to be one of our Heavenly Father's children by faith {John 6:29}; but as in regards unto my calling: what I have been given to say is meant to help clear-up much of the confusion that now exists concerning our Heavenly Father and righteousness of all of His most awesome ways {Jeremiah 1:5-10; Colossians 2:2-4}.

What Bible passage is your favorite?

To be honest about it: I don't really have a "favorite" verse or passage. I suppose For with God nothing shall be impossible {Luke 1:37 KJV} should be one. For it was while reading that verse that my heart was filled with hope while I was in the darkest of my days; but there are so very many others. Surely Romans 7:14-8:39 and 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 must also be mentioned.

Who is your favorite Bible character apart from Jesus?

I suppose that would be the Prophet Jeremiah. For he was just as naturally messed-up as I am; but I also have a great affinity for the Apostle Paul.

Other than Biblical figures, who have been your heroes of the faith?

John Bunyan, Abraham Lincoln and some others.

In your mind what event has had the greatest effect upon the moral degradation of America?

Our refusals to truly humble ourselves before our Heavenly Father and truly walk in the Light of His absolute Truth {2 Chronicles 7:14; Hosea 4:1-14}.

In a nutshell, what are your end times views?

We would do well to be more concerned about our own spiritual condition at any given moment than what may happen next. For our own "end of this world" could happen any second {Hebrews 9:27-28}.

What role(s) do you believe that Holy Spirit plays in our lives as Christians?

Be assured that He has everything to do with everything about our daily lives; and this includes even those who have no idea who He is {John 16:8-15}.

To what degree are you responsible for your own sanctification?

My Heavenly Father wants me to willingly accept what He wants to accomplish in and through me; but this only applies unto the extent that He will allow and enable me to {Ephesians 2:8-10; Philippians 2:12-15; 2 Peter 1:1-11}.

What does baptism mean to you?

Baptism is all about spiritual change {Luke 12:49-53; John 3:3}.

How do you feel about the death penalty?

It would be immensely more merciful to execute criminals deems unfit to reenter society than to keep them locked in a cage for the rest of their natural lives {James 2:12-13}.

How do you feel about physical war?

Wars between nations of this world are righteous if in accordance unto the will of our Heavenly Father; and this most certainly applies unto this day and age.

What is your take on the Iraqi war?

I would like for our forces to set-up a perimeter around the country in the hope of limiting the spread of violence into other countries; and then stay out of the way as much as possible until things settle down enough for us to help them rebuild if the help is still wanted.

What do believe about the New World Order conspiracy?

Much of the stuff that we hear about the Illuminati and other so-called secret societies is real; but it is nothing to get too excited about since it is all in accordance unto the plan that our Heavenly Father set into motion long before He created this world {Revelation 17:17}.

How do you feel about the Patriot Act?

Tragically: much of it has much more to do with "legally" gaining more control over the citizens of this country than it does with combating terrorism.

What are your thoughts on the 2008 presidential election?

Whoever wins will not be nearly as good as their supporters hope, nor will they be nearly as bad as their detractors fear. In other words: we have at least four more years of the political malaise that we are now in.

In your opinion, which political system is most compatible with Christian spirituality?

Methinks that is a trick question. For all political systems are established by our Heavenly Father in order to accomplish His purposes {Romans 13:1-7}; but if it is not a trick question: something like a constitutional monarchy would certainly solve a bunch of problems in regards unto avoiding a lot a bickering about what to do about this or that.

Can Christians truly be tolerant?

If this is in regards unto accepting unrighteousness: the answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT; but this is not to say that we are duty-bound to stop it {1 Corinthians 5:9-13}.

What is your favorite movie?

If I have to name just one under the threat of you sending flesh-eating locusts and acid-spitting toads my way: the western "Silverado" is about as good as it gets for me; but I also love the Star Wars Series and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
