On The Frontlines: Not Typically Christian

The Following is an interview with Nathan from Not Typically Christian:

What does Spiritual warfare mean to you?

Spiritual warfare to me is exercising our authority in the form of intercession over the spirit realm. We are constantly in a state of warfare against the enemy in our daily lives. Some say "once saved, always saved", that is wrong. Once we are saved, we have instantly entered into a spiritual war with hell.

What do you believe to be your purpose in life?

My purpose in life is to serve God through obedience to Him.

What Bible passage is your favorite?

EPH 4:11-16. This scripture refers to the basic blueprints of the government of the church.

Who is your favorite Bible character apart from Jesus?

The Apostle Paul. He wasn't afraid to teach the truth, no matter how unpopular it was.

Other than Biblical figures, who have been your heroes of the faith?

If I had to pick a few heroes of the faith, I would have to pick the people who have affected my spiritual growth the most. First my parents, David and Beccie Householder. They raised me in the way I should go. My first Spiritual Father, Prophet Chris Nolan. He was my greatest hero and inspiration. He has passed away and will never be forgotten. I loved him with all my heart and will always be affected by him. My current Spiritual Father, Prophet Willie Mead. He and I have kindred hearts and are inseparable. My relationship with him is second only to God and I adore and respect him like no there man.

In a nutshell. what are your end times views?

I try not to focus too much on the end times. The scripture says not to worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will come. For years there have been men comparing today with the foretold end times. What makes today different? The scripture says that He will come like a thief in the night. How about we quit worrying about the end times and more about our relationships with God. That way we'll be ready.

What role(s) do you believe that Holy Spirit plays in our lives as Christians?

The Holy Spirit is like the middle man between ourselves and God. When the Holy Spirit moves, it is the same as God himself moving. It's time we stop ignoring the Holy Spirit as an important role in our spiritual lives and start being obedient. Whether you believe it or not, the gifts of the spirit and the gift of tongues are still for today. There is no reason to believe otherwise and anyone who says anything different is wrong. The Spiritual Gifts are free gifts for anyone who wants them and is obedient. To say that you don't have the gift of tongues or other gifts is only an excuse not to step out and trust the Holy Spirit to fill you. Everyone has a measure of all of the gifts, it's only a matter of exercising the gifts. If you don't use them, you'll loose them. So you answer your question, The Holy Spirit plays an extremely important role in our Christian lives, start respecting Him.

To what degree are you responsible for your own sanctification?

Once you are saved, it is up to you to decide how you will live your Christian life. Yes you can lose your salvation if you turn from God. That being said, God is faithful to forgive us when we sin. That is if we ask Him to.

What does baptism mean to you?

Baptism is a symbolic representation of our old sinful nature being washed away when we are born again.

How do you feel about the death penalty?

I believe that it is a sad reality. Maybe what the bible says about sin is true, "the wages of sin is death".

How do you feel about physical war?

Ecclesiastes 3:8 "A time to love and a time to hate; a time for peace and a time for war."

What is your take on the Iraqi war?

See above answer.

What do believe about the New World Order conspiracy?

Quit worrying so much about future events. God wants us to live in the present, let Him take care of the future.

How do you feel about the Patriot Act?

If the government spies on me, they're going to be pretty bored with what they find. I understand that people are afraid that the government will slowly begin to invade our privacy more and more, but as long as God is on the throne we don't have anything to fear. Get over it.

What are your thoughts on the 2008 presidential election?

I'm pretty confident that God is fully capable of achieving His will, no matter who's in control.

In your opinion, which political system is most compatible with Christian spirituality?

A Theocracy is most compatible with Christian spirituality. A Theocracy is God governing the government as opposed to a Democracy in which man governs everything.

Can Christians truly be tolerant?

Jesus was never a tolerant man when it came to sin. Remember when Jesus chases out the money changers and merchants from the temple with a whip? Doesn't sound very tolerant to me.Jesus said "None shall enter the kingdom of heaven except through Me", that wasn't a very tolerant statement. No, Christians don't have to be tolerant of sin. We are supposed to be the salt of the earth, not the pacifiers.

What is your favorite movie?
