On The Frontlines: Fish Hawk

The following is an interview with Fish Hawk . This same interview will be given to others as well. I hope that this proves to be a fun and enlightening way for us to all get to know each other better.

What does Spiritual warfare mean to you?

In most cases: this is a fairly subtle battle between Satan's exploitation of our own nature against that of our Heavenly Father's. For there is a way that seems right unto us; but it is actually a road that leads unto destruction {Proverbs 14:12}.

What do you believe to be your purpose in life?

Simply put: I was created to be one of our Heavenly Father's children by faith {John 6:29}; but as in regards unto my calling: what I have been given to say is meant to help clear-up much of the confusion that now exists concerning our Heavenly Father and righteousness of all of His most awesome ways {Jeremiah 1:5-10; Colossians 2:2-4}.

What Bible passage is your favorite?

To be honest about it: I don't really have a "favorite" verse or passage. I suppose For with God nothing shall be impossible {Luke 1:37 KJV} should be one. For it was while reading that verse that my heart was filled with hope while I was in the darkest of my days; but there are so very many others. Surely Romans 7:14-8:39 and 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 must also be mentioned.

Who is your favorite Bible character apart from Jesus?

I suppose that would be the Prophet Jeremiah. For he was just as naturally messed-up as I am; but I also have a great affinity for the Apostle Paul.

Other than Biblical figures, who have been your heroes of the faith?

John Bunyan, Abraham Lincoln and some others.

In your mind what event has had the greatest effect upon the moral degradation of America?

Our refusals to truly humble ourselves before our Heavenly Father and truly walk in the Light of His absolute Truth {2 Chronicles 7:14; Hosea 4:1-14}.

In a nutshell, what are your end times views?

We would do well to be more concerned about our own spiritual condition at any given moment than what may happen next. For our own "end of this world" could happen any second {Hebrews 9:27-28}.

What role(s) do you believe that Holy Spirit plays in our lives as Christians?

Be assured that He has everything to do with everything about our daily lives; and this includes even those who have no idea who He is {John 16:8-15}.

To what degree are you responsible for your own sanctification?

My Heavenly Father wants me to willingly accept what He wants to accomplish in and through me; but this only applies unto the extent that He will allow and enable me to {Ephesians 2:8-10; Philippians 2:12-15; 2 Peter 1:1-11}.

What does baptism mean to you?

Baptism is all about spiritual change {Luke 12:49-53; John 3:3}.

How do you feel about the death penalty?

It would be immensely more merciful to execute criminals deems unfit to reenter society than to keep them locked in a cage for the rest of their natural lives {James 2:12-13}.

How do you feel about physical war?

Wars between nations of this world are righteous if in accordance unto the will of our Heavenly Father; and this most certainly applies unto this day and age.

What is your take on the Iraqi war?

I would like for our forces to set-up a perimeter around the country in the hope of limiting the spread of violence into other countries; and then stay out of the way as much as possible until things settle down enough for us to help them rebuild if the help is still wanted.

What do believe about the New World Order conspiracy?

Much of the stuff that we hear about the Illuminati and other so-called secret societies is real; but it is nothing to get too excited about since it is all in accordance unto the plan that our Heavenly Father set into motion long before He created this world {Revelation 17:17}.

How do you feel about the Patriot Act?

Tragically: much of it has much more to do with "legally" gaining more control over the citizens of this country than it does with combating terrorism.

What are your thoughts on the 2008 presidential election?

Whoever wins will not be nearly as good as their supporters hope, nor will they be nearly as bad as their detractors fear. In other words: we have at least four more years of the political malaise that we are now in.

In your opinion, which political system is most compatible with Christian spirituality?

Methinks that is a trick question. For all political systems are established by our Heavenly Father in order to accomplish His purposes {Romans 13:1-7}; but if it is not a trick question: something like a constitutional monarchy would certainly solve a bunch of problems in regards unto avoiding a lot a bickering about what to do about this or that.

Can Christians truly be tolerant?

If this is in regards unto accepting unrighteousness: the answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT; but this is not to say that we are duty-bound to stop it {1 Corinthians 5:9-13}.

What is your favorite movie?

If I have to name just one under the threat of you sending flesh-eating locusts and acid-spitting toads my way: the western "Silverado" is about as good as it gets for me; but I also love the Star Wars Series and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

Which 5 posts from your blog(s) do believe to be most significant?

Well, you obviously have no future as a network interviewer under the current conditions. For you didn't edit a thing. Neither did you add any snide comments. Alas, I suppose you'll just have to be content with wanting to be who our Heavenly Father wants you to be.

That's quite an interesting interview, in my honest opinion. At least it gives an insight into who we are and what some of our beliefs are beyond what's published on our respective blogs. :)
